A Change Of Scenery

Dear Reader,

Just in case you hadn’t noticed, we’ve updated the web site with a delightful new theme to better reflect our content, and to make it easier for you to not only navigate about the site, but find what you’re looking for. The new theme and template offers us the chance to showcase upcoming news and events with you, but also it loads faster while still allowing us more scope to share some great artwork with you.

We hope you agree that this is an improvement and enjoy looking over the new pages and content we have for you.

My best,

Alexandra Wolfe

Venus Magazine – August Issue

August 2011 panelAlexandra Wolfe | Kissed By Venus
Dear All:

We’re nearly there with the next up-coming issue of the magazine, which should be with you all by the last week of July or, at the very least, August 1st!

I am so proud to be able to bring you this jam-packed bumper Summer issue featuring a very humorous article on ‘Procrastination’ from Aussie crime-fiction author, Lindy Cameron, an article and fiction from Catherine M. Wilson, with another piece of supernatural fiction from our very own in-house reviewer, Kate Genet.

Plus we have reviews from Kate and Jean Roberta, never mind two great interviews in this issue featuring: Marianne K. Martin, by Marguerite Quantaine, and Baxter Trautman, by yours truly.

Throw in essays from CM Harris, Baxter Trautman and our very own Marguerite Quantaine (who crossed paths with Nixon back in the day) and Jean Roberta’s column, Stranger Than Fiction, and I think you’ll agree, we couldn’t possible pack anything else in to this issue.

But don’t take my word for it, stop by at the end of this month and take a look for yourself.

Salut!

Baxter Clare Trautman

Fresh New Voices Series

Featuring author Baxter Clare Trautman and her latest offering: THE RIVER WITHIN.

Three women. Three lies. One chance to tell the truth.

For thirty years Foreign Correspondent Greer Madison has competed brilliantly in a man’s world. But the hardships of a life spent reporting from war zones are catching up to her. In a foolish attempt to impress a young colleague, Greer involves them both in a deadly accident. The incident is accepted as a collateral risk of war reporting and only Greer knows the truth behind the needless fatality.

Dear Reader, I’m delighted once again to bring another intriguing writer to your attention. Baxter Clare Trautman is no stranger to some having already penned several novels, which are available in print, but Trautman has done what any number of authors are doing these days, and gone it alone writing, creating and publishing an e-book.

The River Within, continuing some of Trautman’s dark themes, is not for the faint of heart, nor is it the usual run of the mill romance novel, but a work that deals with love, hate and the effects of war. Of course, a review will follow shortly!

Meanwhile, if you want to know more, check out Trautman’s cool-looking web site!
